The Vision

Planting beds around the perimeter of the front yard are filled with Xeric perennials, evergreens and ground covers to create colorful and interesting borders around the lawn.
Xeric Plants & Turf Grass
Yes, turf grass can be part of a water-wise landscape. A low water use turf grass, such as Tahoma 31 Bermuda grass, uses only about 1/4 the amount of water that Kentucky Bluegrass.requires. It is low maintenance, holds up to heavy foot traffic and dogs and does not need mowing since it only grows about 4 inches tall. Perfect!

Dry Creek Bed
A dry creek bed is an attractive feature that controls erosion by providing a path for water to flow through the landscape where it can be absorbed into the soil instead of running off into the street.

A stepping stone path winds its way from the dry creek bed into an inviting shaded garden, a perfect place to kick back, relax and enjoy a beautiful, water-wise and eco-friendly landscape that will attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.

Colored and patterned concrete is a great choice for borders, walkways and patios.
Driveway Borders
Adding borders to widen the driveway allows for easier access around parked cars without stepping on plants and mulch.
